About Me

Hi! Thanks for stopping by to visit my site. Let me take a second to introduce myself. I’m a wife and a stay-at-home-mommy to a 2-year-old boy. I absolutely love being able to stay at home with my son. Growing up, that’s the one dream that stayed – being a mommy and staying home with my child(ren). I’m blessed to be able to do this. I am an avid reader, runner, lover of the great outdoors, baker and cook. I love all things that revolve around taking care of my home. I find fulfillment in taking care of my husband and son.

I love the Lord and aim to please Him. I fail miserably, but His mercies are new everyday. I have lived most of my life with the Lord (I was saved when I was 8 years old, and baptized shortly thereafter), but have strayed a few times. Those times were never fun and it’s because of those times that my faith is so strong now. I know Who I believe and there’s no shadow of doubt in my mind that He is who He says He is! He is the same yesterday, today and forever!

I browse Pinterest for ideas, wishing I was as creative as the people on there, but knowing I may never be. It’s just not me – to be that creative with used toilet paper rolls. I have a sewing machine that my husband bought me, because I wanted to learn how to be an amazing seamstress…the sewing machine sits downstairs in my basement waiting for me to learn. I did hem some curtains with the sewing machine though! I’m an old pro at hand-sewing though, you know, when you hem/mend something by hand? Anytime a button needs fixed or a hole needs mended, I’m on it! Again, I browse Pinterest and even have a Pinterest board for sewing things, but have yet to sit down and work on that.

I love music, mainly Praise & Worship and Country. I have a piano (also bought by my husband) that I used to play before my son was born. My husband encourages me to go and play some more, but again, it sits downstairs in the basement. I have never had lessons, but I do love the sound of the piano. I keep saying that if we had a bigger home and the piano and the sewing machine were upstairs, in a room with windows and not in the basement where I can’t see anything, but cement walls, I’d be more apt to use them. It’s just not very fun to sew or play piano in the basement…

In closing – I love the Lord, my husband and my son. I am trying something new (blogging and baking for money – but mainly, I bake for fun) and we’ll see where this venture takes us!

If you have any questions, or want additional information – I would LOVE to hear from you. I read all comments and feedback.
