This is no joke, you all – these brownies are the best I’ve ever made. Until I find a new recipe that trumps this one, it’ll be my go-to for brownies! It’s easy and so incredibly delicious!
1 c. butter 1/2 tsp salt
2 c. sugar 2/3 c. cocoa
2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 eggs 1 c. nuts (optional)
1 c. flour
Blend butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and beat well with a spoon. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edge of pan. Do not over-bake.
- This recipe is in Mary’s Family Favorites and was submitted by Levi and Anna D. Miller.
- I didn’t have nuts (and don’t really like them in my baked goods) on hand, so I substituted chocolate chips instead. Definitely recommend this. 🙂
