4 large apples (cube or slice) 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup flour 1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon 4 tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten
Put dry ingredients together than add apples, eggs and butter. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Eat with milk and sugar when cooled.
- Mandy’s Hints: First – I wouldn’t add cloves to this. That taste was so strong! Or at least put only half or less than what the recipe calls for. I think the cloves almost ruined this!
- This was a really delicious and easy recipe. Perfect for this fall weather! It’s simple enough that you can throw it together, last minute, when friends/family are coming over or just to indulge yourself. 🙂
