My All-Purpose Cleaner

So last night it was time to refill my all-purpose cleaner and my floor cleaner (floor cleaner will be in a different post). They’re super easy, and if you also make your own laundry detergent, you should have all the ingredients on hand!

There are several things I do to make this super easy on myself;

  1. First off, I use an old spray cleaner bottle. I could use a new spray bottle that has never had anything in it, but I’m frugal and feel that reusing an old bottle works just as well. I simply rinsed out the old cleaner from the bottle and added the homemade.
  2. I write the “recipe” on the bottle itself so that I don’t have to search for it every time a refill is needed. I’m all about making my life as easy as possible! 🙂
  3. I add the ingredients in the order listed on the bottle – when adding the hot water,  you have to be careful as the solution bubbles and is quick to overflow.
    1. 1/2 tsp dish soap
    2. 2 tsp Borax
    3. 1/2 tsp baking soda
    4. Add hot water to fill the bottle (without overflowing once the cap is added!

I can’t take credit for the recipe. I used several different ones from Pinterest and mixed and matched until I found one I liked that seemed to work well for what I needed.

I use this cleaner in my kitchen and to spot clean the floors as needed. I absolutely love it! 🙂
