Day complete! (Well, the yard sale part)

The yard sale is over! We didn’t sell as much as I would’ve liked (I tried getting some neighbors to buy the whole lot as one sale, but no one took me up on it… Odd), so everything but a few higher ticket items (and the food, of course!) went straight into my husband’s truck and off to The Salvation Army. I figured I’d share a few pictures of the food I was selling so you all would have an idea of what I made.

The ever popular chocolate chip cookie – who doesn’t like them? This was my most popular food item.

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies – my husband’s favorite.. Or used to be.

Snickers – my husband has dubbed these his possible new favorite cookie. If you know my husband, you know he’s not a dessert kind of guy. So for him to like two different sweets? Amazing.

Peanut Butter Cookies – a fairly common cookie as well.

No-Bake Cookies – I grew up making these. I remember arriving at a cousin’s house and the parents sat down to chit-chat at the kitchen table with coffee while us girls scurried off to make these. These were basically a staple food item, growing up.

Yum-Yum Brownies – not sure why they’re called this, but it’s a true name. They’re chocolate brownies and they are yum yum!

Peanut Butter Brownies – now these are delicious! If you like peanut butter and brownies, they are the perfect combination.

Vanilla Oreo truffles – also a hit!

Mint Oreo truffles – I love mint and white chocolate, so these were my favorite truffles.

Brownie truffles – I made these with some of the Yum-Yum Brownies, very good!

Regular Oreo Truffles – tasted like cookies ‘n cream 🙂

There you have it – all the goodies I made in preparation for today! Whew! It was a lot of work but I did enjoy myself today. I was able to meet a Korean War vet and thank him for his service. He was a sweet older gentleman and it was an honor to meet him. I spoke with quite a few folks and shared a little about myself and my background. All in all, I had a great experience!
